ASRS Order Selection From Pallets

Army Depot Unit load ASRS Order Selection System

This integrated ASRS and conveyor material handling system was designed for logistical support.  The five aisle system was approximately 70’ tall with 350’ long aisles.  The system was designed to convey and store pallet loads from 500 to 3500 pounds containing replacement parts.  Pallets are inducted to the storage system through a laser beam sizing station.  Loads exceeding the size limit of 1/4" overhang on any edge of a pallet or 1/4" over height are rejected.

Pallets are retrieved from storage and conveyed to operators at the kitting stations.  Operators select the correct number of parts from the pallet to make up a “kit” and return the pallet to storage.  When a kit is complete, the operator releases the pallet to the discharge station.
